| Custom stamps can be used to sign your work or decorate your ceramic pieces at the bone dry stage or even better after bisque fired. Combined with a potter's pad, these stamps will transfer a color mark to your clay piece. You may also use these stamps with your own oxide, or glaze / underglaze mix. We sell un-inked pads you can fill with your own liquid color mix. Custom stamps are made using artwork you supply. Please send your artwork to us by email (or paper mail) for creations of the stamp Send artwork to tools@4clay.com. We always do a free proof for your approval before we make it. It takes about 1 week on average to get a custom stamp made. |

![]() Potter's Pad - underglaze stamp pad for use with rubber stamps to mark on ceramic clays. Price: $20.34 each Fire from cone 06 to cone 10, test outside of this range for color result. The potter's pads underglaze colors are good from cone 06 to cone 9. For cone 10 or more the black color is suggested as it remains color stable at higher temps from our experience. Most potters put a layer of clear glaze over the underglaze image to protect it. It is best to first test fire with your clay and kiln to see the results before you use in production of work. 3 oz. refills are available. |

If you prefer to use AMACO LUG series underglaze or mix your own underglaze color choose the un-inked stamp pad which you can fill with the underglaze of your choice. Underglaze shows up best if in contrast with the color of your clay, or if you just want a subtle mark then choose a color that will blend with your clay color. Most potters put a layer of clear glaze over the underglaze image to protect it. | |

![]() We stock 3 oz. bottles of black and white refills for the potter's pad. 1 oz. is what we normally suggest to refill a pad, so each bottle is about 3 full refills using a flat side of a ruler, ceramic wood tool or a brayer to spread it out over the pad. Price: $23.94 |
![]() Yes, you can refill underglaze pens it from the refill bottle and here are some photos of how to remove the tip...the big trick being the thread is reversed from normal. So you need to remove in a clockwise direction and maybe will need to apply a little pressure to break the seal. Once open you can use the refill bottle to refill the pen. |
