If you don't have artwork we can also create something for you, often at no additional cost depending what you need. We use the following fonts which have been tested many times and work well for marking clay. If you just need text layout, let us know which of these fonts you like the best and we can setup a free proof layout.

Many questions can be answered by testing first with your specific process. If you are not sure if our stamps will meet your needs you can order a sample stamp for just $1.00 plus shipping cost. We offer 3 types of surface, but by far the mostly commonly used is our trademark Signature Writer (R) Surface for crisp marks into soft clay. That surface works on all clay types (stoneware, PMC, polymer, etc.)

We are an internet based shop, orders are saved under name and e-mail address. For many reasons, if you call us, we will probably ask you to send an e-mail anyway because we need that email address to look up previous orders, send you proof layout, organize your order, and arrange payment.  You can leave a voice message if that works better for you, phone voice messages get converted to email messages in our phone system.  If possible, also text message us your email address if you leave a voice message so we can answer your questions.  Our text message number is the same as voice mail 1-920-728-0768.

Production of custom clay stamps usually takes about 1 week or less. Once approved & paid 3 or 4 days would be average production time.  We make ALL of our custom stamps & hand rollers and 95% of our stock clay stamps & rollers at our shop in Whitewater, Wisconsin, USA.

We ship to USA, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and most of Europe using UPS or government postal service (USPS). Some countries are not pre-approved for shipping and in that case you will see a shipping amount of zero. Which means we will need to check and see if we can ship to your location or refund your order. We offer the following levels of delivery service, delivery times are only estimates and not guaranteed:

Shipments to USA:

1st Class Mail 4-10 day delivery
Priority Mail 3-8 day delivery
Express Mail 1-2 day delivery
UPS Ground 2-5 day delivery
UPS for Alaska & Hawaii by Quote

Shipments to Canada:

- 1st Class Government Mail 2-4 weeks for delivery

If you need the stamps in less than 4 weeks we suggest UPS.
- UPS Standard 1-2 weeks for delivery
- UPS Expedited 3-7 days for delivery


International Shipments to the following countries:

United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Israel, Japan, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland - Government postal system 4-8 weeks for delivery.  Australia currently has delay in delivery up to 3 months using lowest cost shipping method. We suggest UPS for shipping to Australia unless you are willing to wait some months for delivery. 

If you need the stamps in less than 8 weeks we suggest UPS.

NOTE: additional customs fee may be apply, we do not know customs fee amounts (if any) and do not collect them ahead of time.   Be aware you may be charged an additional duty or customs fee at time of delivery. Usually this is based on the value of the items, but sometimes there is just a flat minimum rate fee. Customs rules are different for each country, and are changing a lot lately so we do not try to understand or pay them up front.



Privacy Policy


This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services based on GDPR requirements.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including Etsy, PayPal, or any other third party services you access while doing business with Socwell LLC.

1. Personal information we collect:
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information, such as your name, email address, shipping address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information or copyright artwork (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.

2. The legal bases we rely on to collect, use, and share personal information:
We rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
•as needed to provide requested services, such as when we use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
•when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
•if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
•as necessary for the purpose of business legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. We use your information to provide the services you requested and in our business’s legitimate interest to improve services; and 2) Compliance with the Seller Policy and Terms of Use. We use your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure:
Information about our customers is important to Socwell LLC. we share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows: •Etsy. If you order through Etsy we share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use. •Service providers. We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services. •Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law. •Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others. •Selling information – we do NOT sell your personal information. •Payment information – we do NOT save or store payment information, any payment information we receive is destroyed as soon as the transaction is completed. For example, we do not keep any credit card information on file in any digital or paper data base. All payment information is destroyed after the transactions are completed.

4. Data Retention:
We retain your personal information such as name, email, telephone number, and shipping address for up to 50 years for the purpose of repeat orders. Most customers who want us to make another copy of their custom item ask us to look up the design files using one or more of those pieces of personal information. So we do not delete them.

5. Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU:
We are based in the USA and manufacture our product in the USA so it is required for us to store and process your information outside of the EU. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. We keep all our records physically inside our location and do not currently use any cloud based storage methods.

6. Your Rights:
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. These rights are described below:
•Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
•Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
•Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
•Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

Refund Policy: We do not refund custom orders once produced, but do offer free replacements as decribed below. For other refund requests, we may withhold a processing fee we are charged by PayPal which can not be returned, usually about 3% of the purchase price. This fee changed in 2019 as we are no longer able to give full refunds on canceled orders for example due to this cost we incure.
